It's a universal truth that Saturday is a wonderful day. For most it signals the start to a relaxing weekend, encompassing the first 24 of 48 work-free hours, but for me it involves something even better, something that Seattle does really, really well. And that, my stylish friends, would be dim sum.

Lucky for me I'm dating a boy who not only is a saint when it comes to wandering around Seattle's International District looking for good photo ops, but just so happens to be a professional dim-sum'er. The best of the best in our opinion can be found at Harbor City - home of delicious dumplings, fantastic BBQ pork and quite a long wait if you forget to set an alarm, accidentally sleep in and arrive anytime after 12 p.m.

Apologies. I'm sure you did not come here for a discussion about the best dim sum in Seattle. You're more interested in things like leopard print peep-toe flats highlighted with sunny shots of orange, and breezy tops in colors like navy that you never thought you would love, but then realized, upon slipping into their silk-like splendor, that you haven't really lived until navy and white collide in a stylish union that is forever classic, sometimes nautical, and always chic.

In closing, I'd just like to share that this particular Saturday happened to be extra-wonderful. True it began with dim sum and was sunny enough to justify showing off a pearly mint pedicure, but it eclipsed all other Saturdays mainly because later that day I caught up with my boyfriend at Target...where he was picking out throw pillows. That's right. Throw pillows. I'm sorry, but can we just reflect on that for a brief moment?

The man. Bought. Throw pillows. Gray ones. With a chevron print.

Best Saturday ever.
