Something special happens when you toss on a black fedora. You start to feel a little more confident. A bit more certain of the things you can do. Pair that favorite fedora with a long and lean maxi skirt and the softest tee ever and now you're just feeling ridiculously comfortable! Seriously, I could sleep in this outfit. As mentioned before, it's my ideal travel ensemble...
Relaxed in all the right places, this look let's you move freely, which is key when you're tossing and turning on a plane trying to find an ideal sleeping position. The long skirt acts like a blanket when things get chilly, the sandals are easy to slip on and off at security, the jacket is light enough for hotter climates, but has a hood in case of rain, the sunglasses kind of make you look like you might be famous, and the fedora...well that's just for fun! Seriously, give this style combo a try next time you're traveling somewhere fabulous. It's the best!
I wasn't going anywhere in particular on this particular beautiful day. Wait, scratch that. I was going to get fish 'n chips at Ivar's. Definitely worth a mention...and a fedora obviously. You have to look cool at the Ivar's. It's sort of a big deal here in Seattle.
Anyway...while I didn't travel anywhere I did wake up feeling in need of a little comfort. I was very tired. I think it was Tuesday? A long week was ahead so I reached for an outfit I knew would see me through until I was out on a beautiful dock with a great guy enjoying some of our city's amazing eats.
In short: fedora + grub + guy = quite a bit of bliss.
